Its Saturday night and we are looking for a restaurant in the South End area to have a quick sit down dinner.
It was not easy to chose but Indian food won! Needless to say we went to Copper, the Indian Restaurant in South End.
The restaurant is an old converted house and is lit up with warm bright lights, giving it that authentic Indian ambiance before you even enter the door. Once inside you are greeted by the most beautiful Indian hostess who proceeds to escort you to one of the many beautifully decorated rooms. We were lucky that we got the front of house room after a tour through the whole house (actually we just asked to be moved 2 times). The servers there are also Indian gentlemen and each gentlemen has a specific role. Your waiter is not going to be the same person that takes your food orders. The bar area, which is lit up with warm and inviting colors, is where you can relax and just soak up the atmosphere whilst enjoying a local Indian beer.
They have a great menu with both traditional as well as modern flavors. We had traditional meals with rice and naan bread, some truly unique and delicious flavors. I can see why they are voted as best Indian restaurant in Charlotte as well as in the top 21 restaurants in Charlotte. The Indian art and background Indian music just complete the whole package of stepping into an Indian experience that treats all your senses.

The chicken marsala is to die for.
