My visit to NODA.
NODA is short for: North Davidson – Art District of Charlotte North Carolina.
This little artsy jewel of an area is about a couple of stone throws away from the City. You can see the city skyline shining through the trees in the yards of the eclectic homes in the streets of NODA.
There are so much to do in this area. So many little different eateries and bars and if you are a beer lover like my husband, you will love this area as there are so many craft beer breweries in NODA.
Today we visited The CO. Store. What a cool little place. They have Prosecco on tap, a permanent Mimosa bar, Craft beers on tap and wine. Catering for all drinking desires. They further more have a deli where you can purchase olives and crackers for that picnic style afternoon gatherings, an absolute must.
We also visited one of those infamous breweries I mentioned. Heist Brewery. Definitely not an original idea as the place was packed and the tables underneath the beautiful tree outside was all taken with a waiting list attached forcing us to eat inside. Not a bad experience at all as once you enter those big doors, you enter an art gallery, not to mention the AC cooling you down on a hot almost summers day. The craft beer menu only consists of 8 beers, making it easier to choose one. I had the Vita C, a refreshing beer. We also had a beer sampler with 5 more beers, they ranged from honey infused to french toast (I would say super delicious coffee flavor), really the best way to get to know the different beers at a brewery. The food was also great – light lunch menu ranging from chicken wraps to beef burgers (a must!).
This is a great little day trip idea. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
