I just love Fridays. Not only is it the start of my weekend but also a sign that I survived the week. So naturally I want to be out and about like the rest of the human race, especially now that it is summer.
Mid morning we decided to go out for lunch today, I think no-one was in the mood for cheese sandwiches and RooiBos tea so we ventured off to the busy street of South End to see what tickles our fancy and low and behold: a little yellow corner building with blue trimmings, nothing fancy but who wants fancy 13:00 on a Friday afternoon, 90 degrees outside with a toddler.
Phat Burritos! don’t let the name, relaxed look and dodgy exterior decor scare you away, the food is AMAZING! I had a steak burrito and my husband a quesadilla (his first quesadilla ever) and it was really delicious and great value for money (big portions and super tasty). They have a salsa bar were you can chose your salsa from many different flavors. They also have domestic and imported beers to wash down the delicious taste of Mexico. We sat outside on the patio beneath the fairy lights (my favorite) and some shade.
A definite place to try! The service is great, the staff are friendly and the turnaround time quick.
