If you are anything like me, you woke up on this Tuesday morning wondering what to do with your little energetic (don’t want to sit at home everyday) toddler girl.
Newly moved to Charlotte, North Carolina makes choosing activities and day trips so exciting as everything is new. Many websites and blogs ranks activities to do here in Charlotte and I have come across the Billy Graham Library activity more than once.
So this morning I chose: The Billy Graham Library – what an experience. We were greeted at the door by BGL staff, friendly as can be and just to your right a talking cow, Bessie. If you have a 16month old toddler learning about farm animals, this will be their favorite part of the whole guided tour and you might have to stay for a second round of the presentation.
The tour will take you into different rooms where different messages will be presented via multimedia presentations and interactive tools, photos and memorabilia. The walls are covered with facts and information. The rooms are made up and designed to assist best with getting the messages across. All the rooms have seating and is very neat and clean, there is always someone right there to answer any questions or to help where needed. You can see the staff at the Billy Graham Library are very proud of what they do and where they work.
The website warns you need about 90minutes for this tour but you can easily stay much longer with the beautiful bookstore, Ruth’s Attic and the Prayer room. There is also a little cafe at the end of the tour called the Dairy Bar, cute as can be. Once your leave the building, you get the Homeplace and the beautiful Memorial Prayer Garden and trees everywhere, perfect for a stroll after a Devine experience.
A truly enlightened day trip.
