A very well known fact by now is that my husband loves beer, any beer and all beer so we often venture to a new taproom or brewery.

This particular time was to the Unknown Brewery in South Mint Street. They celebrated their 300th batch of beer brewed and what better way to celebrate than to invite your loyal consumers to $1 beers. We were invited to this celebration and who can say no to $1 beers (to our surprise – good tasting beers!). They have about 11 beers, some of them seasonal.

We walked into a typical building but that is where the typical things ended. To your right was arcade games, to your left a seating area, in the middle the taproom and at the back the actual brewery equipment guarded behind thick see through glass. This brewery room has so much space and to my amusement it is used by a yoga group. There must have been 40 people doing the downward dog whilst I was sipping away on my Ginger Wheat Beer (a yummy x2 – beer). I did feel guilty for the first 11 sips then I stopped caring. They also have plenty of board games and is kid and pet friendly.

They have a Friday night festival every Friday night until October with live music, food trucks, movies and wine.
